Russia "will assume military measures” if Ukraine and Georgia join NATO

Russia "will have to assume military measures” if Ukraine and Georgia join NATO. The head of the headquarters of the Russian Federation Army Yurii Boluevskii told it to journalists on Friday. He did not specify what kind of measures would be assumed. "There is no doubt Russia will protect its interests near the state borders. The Ukrainian population is against joining NATO. It’s not over yet in Georgia, even though according to a so-called referendum, 70% of people supported the idea”, - claimed Boluevskii. The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affaires has sent diplomatic note to Russia asking to explain the statements of President Putin and the Minister of Foreign Affaires Lavrov concerning Ukraine.
