Cars from Iran, timber from Belarus: inside a growing trade link

The numbers are small, but interesting. / pixabay.com
It has become known that Belarus exports to Iran. We learned the shipment statistics to this country from a report by the Belarusian Railway Workers’ Community.
In 2024, the main cargo heading to Iran was timber — almost 85 thousand tons. Slightly more than 23 thousand tons of fertilizers were sent to Iran.
Belarus also sent around 11.7 thousand tons of paper to Iran.
In absolute numbers, it’s not much, but it gives an idea of the main directions of trade cooperation between our countries. Strangely enough, in the same 2024, 152 tons of automobiles were imported from Iran to Belarus.
Overall, in 2024, exports from Belarus to Iran increased by just over 2%.
