British Minister calls Belarus Europe’s big problem
British Minister for Europe David Lidington has commented on the sphere of human rights.
BelaPAN informs that Ludington claimed it after a meeting with Secretary-General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland in Strasbourg.
The British Minister has informed that he met leader of the Belarusian opposition a few times last year. According to him, every meeting with Belarusian representatives is a reminder that the basic rights are violated in the country – the right for the freedom of political expression, assembly and participation in free and fair elections.
