The Portuguese Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum has ordered several Belarusian activists to leave the country within 20 days, according to the local outlet Sic Noticias.

The case concerns Belarusian citizens who were living in Ukraine when Russia launched its full-scale invasion and fled the war to Portugal.

The agency stated that an order to voluntarily leave Portugal may be issued to anyone holding temporary protection status, regardless of age.

A similar situation has affected some Ukrainians whose children were born abroad and hold dual citizenship.
