Natallya Radzina to continue working as editor-in-chief of “Charter-97”

Natallya Radzina released on recognizance from the KGB detention centre on January 28 is going to continue her journalist activities and to work as the editor of the website “Charetr-97” “in exile” in Kobryn.
"I will work as a journalist, as the editor of charter97. I will do everything to release those who are behind bars now. We need solidarity in the first place”, - said Radzina and an interview with Radio Liberty.

"I am obliged to every journalist and every politician for their solidarity. I have been given a chance to be released only thanks to their support”, - said Radzina in an interview with BelaPAN soon after her release from the KGB detention centre.

According to the journalist, she will have to arrive in Kobryn on January 30 because she will have to live in her registration address during the investigation and the trial. Radzina has given a written undertaking not to breach the investigation secrecy.

The arrest itself shocked the journalist. “I could not understand why they detained me and when I was accused it was double shock for me,” - she said.

Radzina and 36 more people including 5 presidential candidates-2010 are accused of the organization and participation in mass disorders. They may be imprisoned for up to 15 years.
