Musicians weigh chances for Rock Coronation awards
NRM frontman Lyavon Volski describes the chances that their album 06 becomes the album of the year as very low. He says both the critics and the public will prefer the albums released recently like STASI by Neuro Dubel.
“Our album has very low chances, because it was released long time ago. Usually, critics and those who organize the “coronation” remember the albums released recently. I think Kulinkovich (Neuro Dubel) has the highest chances in this regard”, Volski said.
But in the Song of the Year nomination, NRM’s song Minsk and Mensk have very great chances, he thinks.
“People know this song, despite the lack of rotation on the radio. I even read on your web site that Yarmolenka spoke in favor of this song. I can’t understand how come he knows it”, Volski says.
He adds that beZbileta’s song doesn’t fit in the contest’s format, while J:MORS’s Icebreakers is an old song. NRM leader evaluated highly KRAMA’s album Life is a Beautiful Dream, but said their Stefka. 20 Years Later should not deserve the Song of the Year award.
Alexander Kulinkovich says Neuro Dubel’s STASI is the best album of the year. However, he weighs his chances as low.
In his view, Lyapis Trubetskoy’s Capital has the greatest chances in the Album of the Year nomination.
KRAMA frontman Ihar Varashkevich said he give the Best Album award to NRM’s 06. However, he doesn’t rule out that the jury could give victory to J:MORS or Neuro Dubel.
In his view, Minsk and Mensk has the highest chances of winning the Best Song award. He says KRAMA’s Stefka was not promoted enough to become a winner.
