International lawyers stand for their Belarusian colleagues
The international organization Alliance Defense Fund, which unites more than 1700 lawyers, has demanded to stop repressions against the Belarusian lawyers.
Alliance Defense Fund's legal advisor Roger Kishka has addressed to the Ministry of Justice and to the Republican Collegium of Lawyers with a letter. In his letter he demands "to stop the repressive actions against the lawyers" who defend the accused of the "December 19" case.
The representative of the influential organization turns the attention to the unacceptability of the situation when the opposition leaders "found themselves imprisoned, and their lawyers became subjects for harassment", the human rights center "Viasna" informs.
