Government approves transport bonuses for students
The government has identified the criteria under which the students and schoolchildren in Belarus can be granted transport bonuses. Material aid for rides on the public transport will be privided to the students and schoolchildren from the other towns if their family's average income per person does not exceed 100 percent of the highest rate of the minimum living wage.
The material assistance for transport fees will be issued to the pupils and students for the rides on the public transport on Saturdays, Sundays and on public holidays as well as during the whole two weeks of winter holidays from October 1 through June 30, but not earlier than since the day of application.
The decisions on the issue of transport bonuses will be taken by a permenent commission set up by the schooling institution, reports the official news agency Belta.
