European Commission's delegation to assess Belarus' economy
A delegation from the European Commission will visit Minsk on January 24-25 to discuss trade and economic relations between Belarus and EU, according to Belarus foreign ministry's web site. "During the visit, the sides will discuss the acute issues of trade and economic relations between Belarus and the European Union: membership at the World Trade Organization, EU's recognition of the status of the Belarusian economy as a market economy; abolition of autonomous export quotas for some categories of Belarus-made textiles and cloath", the statement on the web site reads.
The sides will also discuss the changes in Belarus' foreign trade regime associated with the formation of the Customs Union and its affects on the trade between Belarus and the European Union.
