City Day marked in Minsk today
Festive events dated for the City Day will start in Minsk today. They will be organized in 60 places in different districts of the Belarusian capital. Flowers will be laid on the obelisk “Minsk – hero city” in Winners Avenue at 11 a.m. A festive opening ceremony of Victory Park will start near Lake Komsomol after that.
Minskers and guests of the city will be able to attend a trade fair and an exposition of goods produced by Minsk enterprises, a concert programme “My dear Minsk – my destiny, my hope!” near the National Library.
A festival of sport and arts will be organized near the Palace of Sport and a youth programme including performances of teams of the Club of the Merry and Inventive will be organized near the Palace of Culture of Railwaymen.
Festive events will continue on September 12.
