Belarusian author of fairy-tales and aphorisms to compete for Nobel Prize
A Belarusian writer Heorhi Marchuk will compete for the Nobel Prize. It will be his second attempt; he was nominated for the prize last year but did not get the award back then. BelTA informs that Marchuk was presented as an author of fairy-tales and aphorisms translated into English in the Nobel Committee. Let us remind you that Nobel prizes have been awarded since 1901 for advanced in Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Economy, Literature and Peace. The prize is about 1 million euro.
