Belarus to disguise internet regulation as copyrights protection

Internet should be regulated, Natalia Pyatkevich, the first deputy head of the Presidential Administration, said when meeting journalists in Rechytsa after a regional seminar of ideology workers from the Homel region, reports BELTA. Pyatkevich's logic is simple. Everyone, concerned with copyrights protection, is interested in having nthe internet regulated. First of all, they are people of creative professions. So, of society agrees that copyright should be protected, the internet, just like all the other sources of information, should be regulated.

The first deputy head of the Presidential Administration also pointed to another problem associated with the internet. "Parents, church, everyine in the society are talking about protecting morals. It means that one should put barriers in the internet so that our children do not see what we can ban in the other sources", she noted.
