The number of tax declarations submitted by the Belarusians this year has increased twofold than usually. Nearly 160,000 people have already filed their declrations with the country revenue authority offices. Although the deadline for submitting the declarations about the aggragated anual income expires on March 1, it is already clear this year will be record-breaking.
The number of submitted declarations has increased up 76,000 against the previous year, with the residents of Minsk making the one third of the total figure.
This unusual desire to meet with tax collectors is because the Belarusians do not want pay their taxes. Rather, they wish to refund the leftovers from the the previous year.
