Zmіtser Zhaleznіchenka may return home from the army today

A youth activist of BNF Zmіtser Zhaleznіchenka may leave the army today. His mother Ala Fyodarauna informed ERB about it.
According to her, the decision about drafting Zmitser was suspended by Savestki District Court of Homel on February 1. The court admitted that the fact that the guy was drafted violated the existing order – he had a postponement due to his health condition.

Ala Zhaleznichenka said in an interview with ERB:

“We are trying to settle it down with the military registration and enlistment office. The administration of his unit told us: “We do not know anything, we need an order of the military registration and enlistment office”. The office says the decision was sent on February 6… We are trying to find the head of the military registration and enlistment office but he is not there, so we are trying to contact him”.

Let us remind you that a 20-year-old Zmitser Zhaleznihenka, an A-student, was expelled from Homel State University. He was immediately drafted and sent to railway troops in Zhlobin. Zhaleznichenka went on a hunger strike for several days in protest against it and announced his desire to serve in a Belarusian-speaking unit. However, there are no units like that in Belarus.
