Two more Belarus meat exporters cleared by Russia

The Russian sanitary authorities have issued export certificates to two more Belarus meat producers -- a butchery from Homel and the Vicebsk poultry factory, Alexander Aksionau, the chief of the veterinary department at the Ministry of Agriculture has confirmed. Applications from more Belarus's meat exporters from the Mahiliou and Homel regions are still being reviewed, but they are likely to be approved soon, he said.

A total of 22 Belarus producers or 60 percent of 37 already inspected have received official permits from the Russian authorities to export meat products to the eastern neighbor, reports Belta.
