Term for investigation of mass disturbances case prolonged till 5 months
That doesn't mean that the accused, who are now in the KGB detention center, will be imprisoned for such a long time.
The term for investigation of the mass disturbances criminal case has been prolonged till 5 months by the public prosecutor's office of Minsk. The representatives of the law-enforcement authorities have informed BelaPAN news agency about this.
The agency's vis-a-vis has said that such considerable prolongation of the investigation term doesn't mean that the accused, who are now in the KGB detention center, will be imprisoned for such a long time. The case materials of every figurant will be sent to courts upon completion of the investigation.
Let us remind you, 42 people are accused in the framework of the "mass disturbances" criminal case. The majority of them are arrested. In particular, the ex-presidential candidates Mikalaj Statkevich and Andrej Sannikau are in the KGB detention center.
