"Vitsebsk Agro Product" included into ecological "black list"
Ecologists of Vitsebsk fined the enterprise eight times within a year.
According to the information provided by BELTA, numerous violations of the ecological legislation were recorded at the enterprise. For example, they kept 3 thousand pigs without the proper state ecological expertise. Two emergency situations which led to pollution of water objects were recorded at the enterprise's branches in 2010 and 2011. Moreover, it was revealed during checking that real number of pigs at one of the complexes exceeds its power capacity by more than 1,5 times. The system of manure removal was not re-constructed.
The ecologists filed a claim against the enterprise for 85 million roubles for damaging the environment.
