Swedes unwilling to assume charge of "teddy bears landing" investigation
The representatives of the Swedish General Prosecution has told this in an interview to the AFP agency.
According to their words, quoted by delfi.lt, they see no reason why Sweden should assume charge of the case if the incident happened not at its territory.
Euroradio reminds, a Swedish light-motor plane flew to Belarus in the morning on July 4 from Lithuania's territory. The Swedes threw hundreds of teddy bears urging to grant freedom of word in Belarus.
Belarus' General Public Prosecution appealed to Lithuania for help in the investigation, as prescribed by international agreements. On January 16, Lithuania's representatives officially announced that they did all they could and want Sweden to assume charge of the criminal prosecution.
