Polish Ambassador to commemorate rebels in Svislach
The 150th anniversary of the January Uprising headed by Konstanty Kalinowski is marked on January 22.
Polish Ambassador to our country Leszek Szerepka will visit Svislach, Hrodna Province, on January 22 to lay wreaths on the monuments to Romuald Traugutt and Konstanty Kalinowski. The ambassador will arrive at 4 p.m. Representatives of the Lithuanian, Latvian and Ukrainian Embassies have also been invited.
Representatives of Polish consulates will visit rebels' graves and places of their heroic struggle all over Belarus and light icon lamps.
The Polish Embassy to Minsk has informed the Belarusian authorities about the planned festive events and invited them to join the celebration of the anniversary of the January Uprising "because common history should unite neighbours instead of separating them".
