Poles may be jailed for 10 years for contraband of Belarusian cigarettes
Polish frontier guards and policemen detected contrabandists last year.
They shipped Belarusian and Russian cigarettes to Poland in a big scope. However, the Bialystok prosecution set charges against the criminals only now. They face 2-10 years of imprisonment for the contraband of cigarettes, informs the web-site of the Podlasie frontier service department.
Members of the criminal group tried to deliver 34 million cigarettes in three trucks to Poland last year. The total sum of the contraband was about 6 million dollars.
At present moment, 9 citizens of Poland have been charged, five of them are under arrest.
