Passports to be given at 14, no longer at 16
Alyaksandr Lukashenka signed a corresponding decree No.197.
It is explained in the decree that the new measure will allow the minors starting from 14 years old realize their rights for certain legally important actions. For example, teenagers will be able to put money in a bank and to use it.
The
decree also contains a series of other amendments of the legislation. In
particular, foreign citizens who temporarily live in Belarus, and our citizens
who permanently live abroad, will be able to get a driver's license and to
register vehicles in their name in Belarus.
A series of administrative procedures have been cancelled. For example,
provision of permit for acquisition of radio-electronic appliances or
certificate of registration of a zoological collection, BelaPAN informs.
The decree comes into force in three months.
