Monument to metro blast victims to be installed on anniversary of tragedy
The memorial composition will be installed at the entrance to the "Kastrychnitskaya" metro station by April 11.
The work on the composition is almost finished, informs "Minsk-News". According to the monument's author sculptor Kanstantsin Selikhanau, the main idea of the composition is not only to remind about the mournful events of April 11, 2011. The author wanted to convey the idea that every moment of life should be appreciated, to the new generations.
The composition is made in the form of the bronze platform with 15 waves on it (the number of victims of the metro blast). The names of the deceased are written on the crests of the waves. The monument is 2 m 30 com high.
