Ministry of Defence finally admits "teddy bear landing"

The press service of the Ministry of Defence informed on August 14 that they were checking information about the unauthorized flight over the Belarusian territory and investigating the incident in July.

Now the Ministry of Defence is conducting a number of events to increase the alertness of the Air Forces in case similar incidents occur again, informs BelaPAN. Military airplanes have started flying more often because of it. Anti-aircraft forces have conduced manoeuvres and practiced shooting.

Let us remind you that the Ministry of Defence used to refute the fact of "the teddy bear landing" even when KGB had already arrested photographer Anton Surapin and realtor Syarhei Basharymau in connection with it. However, Alyaksandr Lukashenka dismissed head of the Border Committee Ihar Rachkouski and commander of the Air and Anti-Aircraft Forces Dzmitry Pahmelkin from their positions on July 31.
