Lukashenka: Olympics stand behind "Slavianski Bazaar"
The Belarusian leader has said that the Olympics are a politicized event with a number of problems.
He has made such statement on July 12 at the opening ceremony of the ХХI International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitsebsk", BELTA reports.
The state leader has said that the "Slavianski Bazaar" may compete for the title of the summer cultural Olympics with respect to the diversity of the program and the number of participants. However, according to him, the Olympics stay far behind the Vitsebsk festival. "Slavianski Bazaar", says Lukashenka, is an island of free mind and independence while the Olympics are a very politicized event.
