International Day of Happiness marked first time today
This holiday was adopted by the UN a year ago.

Secretary General Ban-Ki Moon has made a special statement in this regard. He
has underlined that people all over the world want to live happy lives which
bring them pleasure.
Meanwhile, the basic material well-being is still unreachable for a great
number of people who live in poverty, the UN Secretary General has said.
Ban-Ki Moon urged everyone to pursue development of the human potential and to
help others. We are getting richer when we make our input into the common
prosperity, says he.
