Halip, Sevyarynets and Martsaleu’s cases sent for trial
Minsk Office of the Public Prosecutor has sent three cases of participants of December 19 events to Minsk City Court to find out their territorial jurisdiction.
The senior assistant of Minsk Prosecutor responsible for public relations, Syarhei Balashau, has informed a BelTA reporter about it.
Syarhei Martsaleu (former head of Mikalai Statkevich’s election team), Paval Sevyarynets (Vital Rymasheuski’s representative) and Iryna Halip (Andrei Sannikau’s representative) are accused of organization and preparation for actions rudely violating the civil order or active participation in them. They may be imprisoned for up to three years.
Their measures of restraint have remained the same: Martsaleu and Sevyarynets are imprisoned and Halip is under house arrest.
