Global rating for peacefulness: Belarus-109th , Ukraine-71st, Russia-153rd

The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute issued the global rating for peacefulness in 2012. According to the website fbc.net.ua, it is made by the international expert group on the basis of 23 criteria in three groups: long-term domestic and international conflicts, public safety and social protection; militarization. Each indicator has a coefficient, which is calculated under a certain scale.

Small and stable democratic countries make the top ten: Iceland, Denmark, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, Austria, Ireland, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland.
