Baranavichy City Executive Committee gives no reply about picket permission
Baranavichy City Executive Committee has allowed social democrats to conduct one of the three planned pickets on June 16.
Pickets are not allowed in crowded places, however, the action can be conducted in the old city park. But the Executive Committee has not informed the picket organizers about its decision.
Having received no written reply, Vyachaslau Bolbat, the organizer of the pickets, has decided to talk to an employee of the ideology department, Syarhei Puzikau. It has turned out that the City Executive Committee sent its reply to a wrong address on June 7, informs the human rights centre “Vyasna”.
Let us remind you that the aim of the picket is expressing a protest in connection with the drastic decrease in the living standard in Belarus as a result of the devaluation of the Belarusian ruble and the increase of prices for goods and services.
