Barack Obama sworn in, but to repeat ceremony for public
The U.S. President started his new presidential term.
In accordance with the Constitution, the inauguration should have taken place yesterday. However, as it was the weekend, Barack Obama was sworn as President during the closed procedure in the White House. The official inauguration ceremony will take place in Washington on Monday. About 1600 people got invitations for it.
Barack Obama is 52. He is the 44th U.S. President. The current presidential term will be the second in a row for him.
