Artist Ales Pushkin jailed for 12 days

It is still unknown what the artist was accused of. The judge's Secretary refuses to inform the reason for detention, reports Radio Liberty. The court's office for administrative cases states that Pushkin was detained for holding a non-sanctioned street action.

Euroradio reminds, Ales Pushkin managed to inform by phone that he was detained, on December 5. There has been no information about him since then.

The day before, the artist conducted a performance - he visited the Supreme Court with a portrait of Rastsislau Lapitski - the hero of the anti-Soviet resistance. Pushkin appealed against the decision of the Smarhon court which sentenced him to 10 days of detention for the similar performance.
