Andrei Mouchan to stand trial on Monday
He was detained in Minsk on July 14. The activist of "European Belarus" has been jailed in Akrestsina Street since then.
His colleague Maxim Vinyarski has informed that Mouchan will stand trial in Minsk Pershamaiski District Court on July 16. He is probably accused of "petty hooliganism". Posters aimed against the death penalty in Belarus were found on Andrei Mouchan during the detention. Mouchan's mother has been informed that her son was beaten after the detention, reports BelaPAN.
Let us remind you that Andrei Mouchan hoisted a national flag near the supermarket "Pershamaiski" in Minsk to express solidarity with political prisoner Syarhei Kavalenka. Policemen ran up to him, snatched out the flag and started beating him until he lost conscience. As a result, Mouchan was taken to hospital. The activist was fined for "an unauthorized picket" for 800 thousand roubles last week.
