Andrei Azharouski to claim deportation from Belarus
The nuclear physicist was put on a train to Smalensk in the morning on July 28.
Andrei Azharouski served a 10-days administrative detention in Minsk. He is prohibited to enter Belarus for 10 years.
The notice of extradition was signed by the acting head of the Maskouski district department of internal affairs. The document states that the deportation case will be considered in the Center for isolation of law-breakers at about 8 a.m. on July 28, and that Azharouski has a right to participate in it as a listener.
However, this issue was solved out of court. The Russian physicist was not present as he was going to Smalensk by train at that moment.
“My personal belongings and some documents were left in Minsk. They took my credit card out of my personal stuff in the Center for isolation of law-breakers and bought me a ticket to Smalensk without telling me about it”, - BelaPAN news agency quotes Andrei Azharouski.
Besides, the court resolution according to which the physicist was deported from Belarus has not come into force yet, as he managed to file an appeal against it. Consideration of the appeal is appointed to take place in Minsk city court on July 30.
Let us remind you, Andrei Azharouski was detained in Minsk on July 18. The physicist was going to pass an open appeal against signing of the general contract for the NPP construction in Belarus, to the Russian embassy, together with other activists. Azharouski was sentenced to 10 days of detention for swearing in public on that very day.
