Action for alternative civil service takes place in Brest on February 23
It was conducted by the activists of the United Civil Party's youth branch.
According to the information provided by BelaPAN, the activists disseminated the UCP youth's leaflets, which looked like military draft notices and said the following: "Potential draftee! You need to visit the web-site http://ags.by to get information on the topic how you can serve your Homeland without marching on the parade ground". The leaflets were handed out to the people of draft age in the center of the city, in the pedestrian Savetskaya Street.
According to the activists, the majority of youngsters either know nothing about the alternative civil service or have the wrong conception of it.
100 leaflets-notices were handed out during the action.
