Prosecutor General forwards journalists' appeal to Minsk prosecutor

The Office of Belarus's Posecutor General has forwarded a complaint from the Belarusian Association of Journalists to the Minsk City Prosecutor's Office, the Belarusian Association of Journalists said Friday after receving a letter from Prosecutor General Ryhor Vasilevich.
The journalists' union sent a complaint to the Prosecutor General following raids in the offices and apartments of independent media on March 27-28. The Belarusian Association of Journalists demanded to halt the persecution of journalists.

Mikhail Pastukhov, a prominent lawyer how runs the Legal Center for Media Protection at the Belarusian Association of Journalists thinks that this has been an attempt by prosecutors to delay a motion in respond to the complaint from journalists.
