Belarusian swimmer Yauhen Tsurkin wins gold medal at European Championships
The championship is held in Berlin. A French sportsman has demonstrated the same result as the Belarusian.
Yauhen Tsurkin and Frenchman Florent Manaudou (Olympic champion-2012 in the 50m freestyle) showed the same result at the European Championships 2014 – 23 seconds. The Belarusian was left behind by his opponents in the 50m butterfly but managed to catch up later, BelTA reports.
Yauhen Tsurkin won Belarus’ first medial in water sports at the European Championships 2014. Belarusians have not reached the other finals yet. The Championships will end in the capital of Germany on August 24.
