Sentence to Kanavalau and Kavalyou to be pronounced today
Both defendants face death penalty.
The final trial will start at 11 a.m. today in the House of Justice in Minsk. Natives of Vitsebsk Dzmitry Kanavalau and Uladzislau Kavalyou are accused of organization of the blast in Minsk metro on April 11, the blast on the Independence Day-2008 in Minsk, and a series of blasts in Vitsebsk. The lawyers of defense insist that their clients' guilt has not been proven.
