The Pope invited to Belarus
The invitation was passed by Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz at the meeting with Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity.
The Vatican hierarch is now in Minsk, he is taking part in the Orthodox-Catholic conference. Yesterday he served a mass in the Minsk Cathedral of Saint Virgin Mary.
Thus, the Belarusian Catholic Church has resumed an invitation made to the Pope Benedict XVI in December 2009, during the visit of the Belarusian bishops to Rome, RIA Novosti reports.
