MEP calls on Polish universities to hire Ihar Kuzminich
Marek Migalski appealed to the rectors of Polish state and private higher educational establishments.
He is asking to hire Ihar
Kuzminich and other scientists, persecuted by the Belarusian
authorities. In the appeal,
the MEP notes that it is the moral obligation of the Poles and the Polish universities
to support democratic changes in Belarus.
Euroradio reminds, professor of Hrodna University Ihar Kuzminich resigned as a
sign of protest against illegal persecution of scientists for their civil
views.
In became known on April 4 that professor of Hrodna University Vyachaslau
Shved was sacked from the position of the head of the department of
Belarusian culture and regional tourism. He said that he considered this a
political decision, the revenge for his newly published book "Hrodna. The
