Lukashenka abolishes Independence Day?
Lukashenka has abolished his decree on establishment of the Independence Day as a state holiday. Recently signed Decree No.166 contains such a claim.
It contains a list of previously signed documents, which are no longer in force due to different reasons. Decree No. 1 dated December 11, 1996 "On establishment of a state holiday - The day of Independence of the Republic of Belarus" is the first in this list.
It is still unclear upon which motives Aliaksandr Lukashenka decided to abolish this decree, Narodnaya Volya informs.
