EC President: EU spends €300bn on defense every year
This is the sum of the expenses of all the 27 EU member states.
"It is a huge sum but it should be spent more effectively and the result should be high-quality”, - reports RIA “Novosti” quoting Herman Van Rompuy.
He urged to strengthen strategic partnership and cooperation between the EU and the North Atlantic Alliance at a NATO summit in Chicago.
