China quake death toll – 203 victims
24 people have disappeared and over 11 thousand are injured. The numbers may increase, information agencies report.
Rescuers and doctors keep heading for the disaster area. It is difficult to reach some inhabited localities – rescuers are using helicopters for it.
A strong 7 magnitude earthquake hit Sichuan province on Saturday morning. This is not the first natural disaster in the area: an 8 magnitude earthquake hit the province in 2008. 87 thousand people were killed or disappeared, millions were made homeless.
