“Black list” of Belarusian officials is published
The EU Official Documents website has published a list of Belarusian officials, judges and “law enforcement agencies” forbidden to enter the EU. (UPDATED)
There are 157 people on the list. Henadz Davydzka andPavel Yakubovich are among them.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka , both his older sons, the head of the Information Analytical Centre and his deputies, the heads of KGB and of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and their deputies, 8 members of the Central Election Commission, heads of all the six regional election commissions, the Attorney General and his five deputies, heads of all regional and district Offices of the Public Prosecutor, members of special police services, former heads and deputy heads of KGB, heads of all the regional KGB affiliates, 12 governmental journalists, the rector of BSU and about 30 judges are on this list.
Let us note that the head of the Belarusian State Broadcasting Company Henadz Davydzka, the former head of the BT Alyaksandr Zimouski and the editor-in-chief of “Soviet Byelorussia” Pavel Yakubovich will not be able to visit the EU either.
Heads of four sports federations forbidden to enter Europe

The heads of some Belarusian sports federations have been affected by the European Union’s visa sanctions. For example, head of the Football Federation Henadz Nyavyhlaswho used to head the President’s Administration has been forbidden to enter Europe.
The heads of the Handball, Biathlon and Alpine Skiing Federations have also been affected by the sanctions –former head of the House of Representatives Uladzimir Kanaplyou, head of KGB Vadzim Zaitsau and former deputy head of the President’s Administration Natallya Patkevich respectively. Alyaksandr Lukashenka, the President of the Olympic Committee and the state leader, has also been forbidden to enter Europe.
Let us remind you that the EU imposed visa sanctions on Belarusian officials in response to the violations during the election and mass detentions of opposition members.
“Blacklisted” citizens can appeal their state

According to the Preamble Regulation of the Council of the EU, the “blacklisted” citizens have a right “to express their disagreement”. The Council of the EU may reconsider its decision and inform about it if new facts emerge.
Karl Bildt, Swedish Minister, said in his recent interview with Euroradio that the Council of the EU was ready “to expand it [the black list] and to remove certain names from it if there were reasons to do it”.
