Ales Byalyatski's trial to be resumed today
The previous hearings took place on November 16.
The previous hearings lasted for literally 10 minutes. The prosecutor announced the new corrected accusation, and the lawyer asked for a 5-days break after this due to the necessity to study the amendments which the prosecutor made. Human rights activists say that these amendments are not essential. The head of the human rights center "Viasna" still faces up to 7 years of imprisonment for tax evasion. It is expected that the court disputes will start today.
Let us remind you, human rights defender Ales Byalyatski has been in custody since August 4. His trial started on November 2.
