12-year-old Aliaksey Mayorau of Real Madrid wants to play for Belarus's national team. The young footballer's mother, Katsiaryna Kistsen, told the Belarusian TV channel "Belarus 1" about her son's long-standing wish. She admitted that she would also like it.
"He always said that he would like to play for the national team of Belarus. He always had such a dream," Kistsen said.
The information that Mayorau signed a contract with Real Madrid emerged in late summer. So far, there is no Belarusian in this glorious club. The boy lives in Spain and has a partnership contract with Adidas.
The talented footballer attracted attention about five years ago when he trained at Dynamo Minsk's football academy. His grandfather is Dynamo player Aliaksandr Kistsen.
