Novel about Chernobyl wins Spanish literary prize

Belarusian Natalia Litvinova has received the Spanish literary prize Lumen de Novela for her novel Firefly, about the escape from Chernobyl, writes Flagshtok.
The Lumen Prize is awarded annually by the Spanish publishing house of the same name to a novel written in Spanish by an author from Latin America and the Caribbean. Litvinova was born in Homiel, Belarus, but moved to Argentina when she was ten.
The jury called Natalia Litvinova's "Firefly" a "luminous, radioactive novel". The publishing house will publish it and reward the author with 30 thousand euros. The Belarusian's book will be published on paper in September.
