Belarus’s KGB has intensified its work with Belarusian emigrants

In October, Belarus’s KGB began actively targeting the Belarusian diaspora.
From several Facebook accounts, KGB officers have been messaging members of the Belarusian emigration, trying to persuade them to have “conversations.”
The KGB often refers to the possibility of “talking to their parents” and uses veiled threats to pressure Belarusians into providing information about democratic forces, media outlets, and NGOs.
According to Euroradio’s information, in recent weeks more than a dozen Belarusians have received such messages from KGB operatives.
