"Autoradio" court hearings to be resumed today
It has been decided to involve linguists so that they would conduct a linguistic expertise.
The hearings of the Supreme Economic Court upon the case "Autoradio" against the Ministry of Information" will be resumed today.
The director of the radio station Jury Bazan has informed on air to Euroradio thatiIt has been decided to involve linguists so that they would conduct a linguistic expertise of the information which contained "appeals to extremist activity", according to the Ministry of Information. The linguists are supposed to study the sentence "A country's destiny is decided not in a kitchen, but at a square", which sounded in the presidential candidate Andrej Sannikau's pre-electoral commercial.
Bazan has noted that the linguists will "argue and then come to a certain conclusion" at the hearings on March 9.
Besides, "Autoradio's" arguments on illegacy of sanctions were based in the first place on the fact that it were pre-electoral agitation materials of a registered presidential candidate which sounded on air. There was agitation on the state TV as well, moreover, many speeches were much more harsh that the sentence about "a kitchen and a square".
