Kavalenka and Barazenka sentenced to administrative detention
They were considered guilty in holding a non-sanctioned picket.
This decision was taken by judge Alyaksandr Khadanovich. The trial took place in the Central district court of Minsk. Kavalenka got 15 days of detention, Barazenka - 11. The latter announced a hunger-strike right in the court hall.
Let us remind you, the youngsters were detained at about 4 p.m. yesterday. Kavalenka tried to hold a mono-picket near the KGB office. He hoisted a white-red-white flag and held portraits of political prisoners. The picket lasted for several minutes. The activist was detained by the people who ran out of the building.
Cameraman Alyaksandr Barazenka was detained together with the activist.
Both of them were delivered to the Central district police department, and three hours later - to the pre-trial detention center in Akrestsina Street.
