Rocket bunker stays empty near Smarhon (photo)
Three mines, a command center, the oxidant cascades and the mines for storaging warheads — this territory is now occupied by stalkers and local inhabitants.
Rockets which could kill an enemy within up to 4 500 kilometers were kept here 30 years ago.
It is possible to enter the underground bunker through the doors of the underground command center. The mines for storaging warheads are covered by a 450-tons concrete helmet, which used to be shot off by a special cartridge.

Many things were taken away from the three underground floors for thirty years. It is obvious when you look at the empty walls with metal rods sticking out like ribs - these rods were supposed to support the electric wires. The mines for storaging warheads, the depth of which is equal to a 7-floors building's height, are full of water. The first underground floor is besmirched because of the fire which happened here several years ago.

The Soviet past left a great number of warning signs in the mines, which still remain there.
